We are currently seeking a hard-working and passionate individual to join our Ballard taproom team as a TAPROOM WEEKEND LEAD / BARTENDER. This full-time, hourly position (approx. 30-40 hours/week) will have regularly scheduled shifts on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with additional hours for admin/site work and the opportunity to fill in on other shifts during the week, as needed. This position will report directly to the BBYC Taproom General Manager.




  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Maintain a clean taproom environment
  • Passion for ensuring our space is well-kept and an enjoyable space for all
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ensure proper rotation and organization of product all draft and package products
  • Ensure weekend team members are on task and rotating throughout the shift
  • Oversee day-of staff schedule, including breaks and cutting shifts early, when needed
  • Patiently and effectively handle any issues that may arise with guests or outside patrons
  • Maintain proper safety and cleanliness standards
  • Manage and maintain food truck schedule and ensure proper on-site protocols
  • Manage in-bound group reservations, as applicable
  • Ensure a positive attitude throughout the shift from the staff
  • Troubleshoot any issues on-site issues (equipment, draft, etc) that may arise during shift
  • Assist with execution of weekend events, as needed
  • Efficiently communicate needs and concerns with General Manager


  • Knowledge of and interest in the craft beer and cider industries
  • Positive, upbeat, and enthusiastic outlook and attitude
  • Prior bar/restaurant/taproom management and bartending experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a love for working with people
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Can work independently and make quick decisions
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated personality
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time
  • Ability to move cases and kegs (both empty and full), and operate a hand truck

COMPENSATION — $20 – $22 per hour, depending on experience
