Leota Mae IPA is BACK – for a limited time only, we brought back this fan favorite beer and you can find it near you at the locations below.
First brewed in 2017, Leota Mae IPA is named for Leota Mae Loftus, the great-grandmother of Bale Breaker owners Smitty, Meghann, and Patrick. Leota Mae was a force to be reckoned with and the woman that set the course of her family’s farm for generations to come. In 1932, in anticipation of the end of Prohibition, Leota Mae planted 9 acres of hops on her family’s farm.
Today, Bale Breaker sits in the corner of hop field 41 – one of the many fields that our family now farms because of Leota Mae’s amazing foresight over 90 years ago. Leota Mae IPA is a floral, juicy IPA that showcases those homegrown hops.
